I'm back! + UPGRADING MY PC: an update

And after almost 2 years, I return to Blogger... :)

Tumblr I've decided is best for more visual posts, art picks and so on.

Anyway, I have always been referring back to this blog mostly for myself, which is what most blogs are about - they're hardly for other people. It's been like an ongoing scrap book of handy notes and memories, like for my computer for example! Exciting stuff .

My Acer X221W (on the left below) has finally died on me, after I finished an hour long cushy set up this morning for myself (it's my birthday too y'see :3).

The right monitor is a donated HP 2310i which is starting to yellow slightly. Both monitors are second hand, so I'm not too upset. HOWEVER, I would like to update to HDMI monitor(s) soon anyhow (finally!).




In the 2 years I've been gone, I upgraded to a new Asus P5G41T-MLX  motherboard (the other one just stopped working somewhere, somehow - then I resold it on eBay as faulty but the Buyer left feedback saying it was a bargain and working fine! pfft o_o). I'm also on a HDMI ready Radeon HD5670 graphics card (which I also sold as faulty on eBay - might've been the real problem - Think I decided to upgrade both instead of getting an engineer in). Finally, I upgraded the PSU I originally got with the second hand tower I have, which is the OCZ StealthXStream 2 600W, powah.

Aaaaaannyyyway... boring.

The real highlight is of the past couple years is my Wacom Cintiq 22HD (center above), which is f**king brilliant and has changed my life almost completely. I just got a bubbly screen protector for it, as I managed to get ONE verrrrry light scratch in the near centre of it. Never again! (hopefully!). I haven't exercised the full use of it yet though - but I'm going to. Just need to get a few publications out of the way first...

Other bits I've upgraded to is a cool Wolfking DK-2588 UH gamer keyboard, bought of my friend Az for £10 (which I don't believe I've mentioned before, as I remember many late WoW nights with it - that ended at least 3-4 years a go). And finally, another gem to mention is my ergonomic Evoluent Vertical Mouse 3 - because I am petrified of RSI (also why I got a Cintiq).
