What's a Blog really for? #ramblings

I've been updating here sporadically here since 2007*. But what is this blog really for?

Is it for updating on my career? My artistic whims? Personal whims? Random vents? All of those? 

So, I think a blog, like any form of communication, is reaffirming your own existence. 😌 

And how have I been existing so far? 

Pretty good, actually!

I'm roughly 6 weeks away from finishing my PGCE Design & Technology (teaching degree), which I won't go into here (yet) as it it has been a colossal experience for me and I'm still processing it. I have 2-3 weeks of lesson planning to do right now, while hungover from a strong "Bananegroni" from a hidden bar in Peckham (first drink in months!)... and I'm about to go and get my eyebrows waxed by my beautician before I visit Phantom Peak, so... I'll make this quick:

There's too much going on in life to put it in a blog. So the question is not really "what is this blog really for?", but "who is this blog really for?". And this blog is for you, dear reader, who may (or may not) have suddenly, come across this post. 

We live for each other, and we post for each other. 

It's like Marcel Duchamp's theory - Does art exist without its audience?

And I try to express or curate my life accordingly... if I'm in the mood for it. But I'd like to post here more regularly, not just when I'm in the mood for it, but for the sake of it. For it, for me, for you. And I'll try to do it at the end of every month, starting today.

Why now? Well, I guess I've just been living life doing things here, there, everywhere, and now I just want to get back to being the old me. I always liked writing random commentary about whatever I'm doing in life ever since I was a teen. Now looking back, I think I stopped because I just needed to figure life the f**k out.

This has been a bit of a ramble, so in efforts to keep this blog authentic and in the moment with life (expressing vs. curating!), I'm gonna make rambles a thing here from now on! To pre-warn, well, you. 😂 #ramblings

Anyway! I'll be back again soon, next time with drawings! (And ramblings!😜)

PS: If you're curious enough, I posted my old & new Uni assignments on my YouTube earlier! 😙 (Coz I'm just beginning to crawl out from under my study-rock, which is where I've been on & off since 2017. I'd like to make a proper, timelined post about that journey another time though.)
